Build Your Career

Broaden your Impact

Expanding your specialties strengthens your fitness career and helps you stand out. It broadens your skills, opens new opportunities, and keeps you current with evolving trends in health, wellness, and active living.

As an added bonus, a new specialty counts toward your Continuing Education Credits (CECs). These credits are a key part of maintaining your BCRPA Fitness Registration and show your ongoing commitment to excellence in the field.

Adding Additional Core Specialties

After completing your first core specialty, you can add others like aquatic fitness or weight training any time. Keep learning, growing, and expanding your expertise across multiple fitness disciplines!

To complete additional specialities there’s no need to retake the Fitness Theory Exam or re-register. Simply:

  • Complete the Specialty Course of your choice.
  • Complete the Practicum (if applicable) and ICE.
