Code of Ethics & Professional Conduct
Our Code of Ethics sets the foundation for a professional, respectful, and safe practice across the province. It supports individual accountability and strengthens public trust in BCRPA Fitness Leaders.
Read PoliciesContinuing Education Credits (CECs)
Continuing Education Credits (CECs) are needed to renew your registration annually. Find out more about how CECs work and our related policies.
CECs are awarded in increments of 0.25 and are based on the length of the workshop or course.
ICE evaluations may qualify for 1.5 CECs (maximum of one ICE per renewal period).
If you have extra CECs you may be able to carry them over to the following year.

Fitness Theory and Older Adult exams do not expire after purchase.
Refunds are available within 3 months of purchase.
Exam fees are non-transferable and can’t be shared.
You must purchase first-year registration within 1 year of passing the Fitness Theory exam.
Online Exam Policy
All online exams are proctored through Proctor U. You’ll receive full instructions from Proctor U (check your spam folder) when your exam is purchased through The Registry®.
Misconduct may result in a nullified score..

We accept:
- Credit cards
- Money orders
We do not accept:
- Personal cheques
- Credit/debit combo cards (Visa Debit, etc.)
BCRPA reserves the right to suspend the registration status of a Fitness Leader who has not met all renewal requirements, including providing full payment via credit cards or money orders.
Privacy Policy
In line with BC’s privacy laws, we can only discuss an individual’s registration, exam results, or application status with the Fitness Leader themselves. We are unable to speak with third parties without express written consent.

If you’re stepping away from practice, you may apply for up to one year of leave for parental or medical reasons.
